Nagabhatta Pratihara defeats the Arabs :
The Arabs after the death of Bin Qasim attempted to make deeper inroads into India. They attempted to invade Gujarat, Rajasthan, Kashmir and Central India.
Having breached Gujarat and Rajasthan, they tried to invade Central India. Nagabhatta Pratihara, the founder of the Pratihara dynasty led an army against Juneid the Arab commander and defeated him near Avanti. According to Arab chroniclers, a place of refuge was not found for the Muslim armies and they fled across the desert and river Indus.
