Kalyan Rishi death while with Alexander
Kalyan Rishi travelled with Alexander into Persia, where, at the age of 73, he got exhausted and weakened. Although Alexander tried to dissuade him, Kalyan Rishi decided to end his life through self-immolation. He climbed the pyre, built by Ptolemy, the future King of Egypt, and did not flinch when the Flames engulfed him. Alexander was not present, but Kalyan Rishi left a dying message saying he would Meet Alexander in Babylon. Alexander later died in Babylon. This chronicle is recorded by Greek historians.
