Dantidurga of Rashtrakutas

The founder of the Rashtrakuta empire is King Dantidurga who ruled an area in Berar. He is said to have defeated the Badami Chalukyas and founded the Rashtrakuta empire. He is said to have fought in Central India in Malwa, up north as far as Kosala but fought mainly to gain areas in modern-day Karnataka, Maharashtra and Andhra. He ruled from 735 to 756 AD.
